Hi Everyone,

We have 2 openings left (4 have been taken).  The teams can be moved to any available location.  The league is filled with great owners. Please sitemail me if interested.   If we fill by EOD Sunday, the two new teams with the best improvement on wins will win a $10 GC. That is a 1 in 3 chance of winning.

AL East:
Washington - (65-97) - Been in rebuild mode for the last 6 seasons. Strong minor leagues. - Taken

AL West:
Scottsdale - (97-65) - made playoffs the last 5 seasons (won the WS 2 seasons ago).  - Taken

NL East:
Tampa Bay - (80-82) - 20th pick in the draft. Approx. $60M in committed salary.   Will be ready to add at least 2 very strong minor leaguers to the majors this next season. Well positioned to take a run at the playoffs. - Taken

NL West:
Honolulu (99-63)  - 8 straight division titles.  2 games from the WS twice in the last 4 seasons.  Primed for another run.

Arizona - (49-113) - will have the #1 draft pick next season and the #12 pick. - Taken

Salt Lake (71-91) -  Will have the 9th pick in the draft. $38M in committed salary.   Has one of the best young pitchers in the entire league in Cesar Cruz.  Enough financial flexibility to continue to the rebuild for one more season or make some free agency moves and make it a contender this coming season (the team finished 3 games out of the wild card the season before last).

Here are our League Rules:

1. Loss limits: Any team that fails to meet the win requirements, will be removed from the league unless it is determined by the veterans/rules committee that a one year grace period should be granted due to extenuating circumstances.

- Any team that wins less than 55 games in a single season
- Any team that wins less than 125 games over two consecutive seasons
- Any team that wins less than 195 games over three consecutive seasons

2) No lobbying for or against trades in the league forums.

3) Using players that are clearly minor league fodder in the ML for extended periods of time will not be tolerated; all ML rosters should maintain at least 24 active players; in the event of a catastrophic injury problem you should be able to find adequate cheap replacement in the FA pile or waiver wire. Additionally, If an ML team starts a pitcher with fatigue 50 or less they get a warning and 6 games to get their staff in place. A second violation after that 6 game grace period will result in expulsion from the league. Minimum Minor League Roster Size Requirement: Each minor league team should have at least 22 active players.

4) We ask that you refrain from talking about hot topic issues (religion, politics, etc) in the league chat and refrain from cussing/verbally attacking another owner. Examples of uncivil conduct in the general chat will receive a warning from the commissioner. If it persists, the veterans/rules committee may vote to expel the owner.

5) There will be a two week "rules discussion" period at either the end of season or start of season. During this period and this period only we can have open discussion on league issues that may need changing. There will be a vote during that period and after the two weeks the vote will be final and you will need to wait until next season to propose further rules changes.

6) Stadium changes are allowed only if you have been in your current stadium for at least 3 seasons.

Inside look at  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Washington D.C. Hooligans Franchise Profile

Washington has floated between 60 and 73 wins for the last 4 seasons.  At the ML level, the team struggled this past year on both sides of the plate. The real story for this franchise has been the stabilization and growth of its minors. This team is built to be a contender in short order. The team's best ML players were just elevated to the Bigs this past year.   This team has a lot of financial flexibility with only $37M committed for next season.  Are you the one to take on that challenge?

Inside look at  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Arizona Purple Cobras Franchise Profile

Arizona has been in heavy rebuild mode over the last 4 seasons.  After making a significant improvement in wins 2 seasons ago (24 game improvement), the team took a major step back in the majors. This was mostly due to having the weakest pitching in the NL.  This team has been building its assets, which will only grow with the #1 pick in the coming draft.   This team will likely be in rebuilding mode for another season or two but it all depends on the strategy you wish to implement.

Inside look at  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Honolulu Hobbits Franchise Profile

Honolulu has been a powerhouse in the NL for the last 8 seasons, never winning less than 95 games and winning the division each year.  While the team hasn't won a championship, it continues to be loaded with talent to make playoff runs into the foreseeable future.  Top 5 offense with the #1 pitching staff in the league. Are you ready to take the shot at ensuring it ends the season not just in the playoffs but with a ring?

Inside look at Tampa Bay  Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Franchise Profile

After winning the division 3 seasons ago, Tampa Bay has been in rebuild mode for the last two.  Tampa Bay had a top 4 offense in the NL and a top half pitching.  However, the team struggled in its fielding and its luck, finishing 2 games under .500.  The team is loaded with ML talent and a good set of minor league prospects that can help the Big League team get over the hump.

The best part of each remaining team:
Former Honolulu team:  Has just missed the World Series twice in the last 4 seasons. Primed for another run at it over the next few seasons.

Former Salt Lake City team: The team contended for a wild card two seasons ago and so it has the talent despite last season's step backwards. Has one of the best minor league pitchers in all of Dirt in Cesar Cruz and has a ton of financial flexibility to choose to make a run at the playoffs now or continue to rebuild for another season.

Former Tampa Bay team:  The team finished just under .500 and has two prospects ready to join the majors and enough financial flexibility to add additional free agent pieces to push for the playoffs if the owner chooses.
