Bad news: amerk wanted Whiteside in round 5. He said if Whiteside was gone, we'd have to wait a while for him to pick.

Why he couldn't just add a guy to his proxy list, I have no idea

I would also move down to the 20-24 range in exchange for 6th round positioning if anyone there anyone here wants pick number 100 to nab someone.

Sorry guys....I was so sure Whiteside would not get taken that early by one of only two other guys than me.  OK, here is the pick that will get me banned from the ODL:

Yes I said Bob Pettit.  Let the ripping begin for crazy low eFG;  I now have 3 of the top 10 FTA seasons on WIS though (Howard, West and Pettit).  We'll see how that plays out.

I'll start. Seems reasonable, but he's being defended by players whose defensive profile is geared specifically toward a low foul rate. Expect 30-40% fewer ftas. IMO you have taken on all of his liabilities and you're receiving in return, suppressed assets. I'm also think a 3rd high fta rate would have a corresponding negative impact on  the fta rate of West and Howard. Diminishing returns. 

The only positive thing about that pick is the drastic improvement in your odds of landing the top pick next year...

Divisions in the ODL are assigned at random.  However, I'm fine with changing to a division draft like the DH52.  This was actually one of the two items I am considering changing.  The other being the way the teams are ordered for the draft.

I'd do it like I did in the Progressive Cap league or how we did it in the HDP.  Weighted lottery (like the dh 52) so all 12 lotto teams have a chance at the top pick.  Here, the lotto winner would get the top pick, and all the rest would be placed by record, with ties broken by H2H, then division record, then conference record.  Then playoff teams are ordered by record with same tiebreakers.

And apparently I was supposed to do the division assignment before the draft..............  annoying.

I wouldn't worry about that. As the commish, you should be able to do what you want as far as divisions.

I love it.  I have created the most pick bashing since smokey57 drafted Bill Bridges in the 2nd round about 5 or 6 ODL's ago lol.  I knew you guys would LOVE that pick!  I think I may be able to get away with it with Howard there, and be better than y'all think.  Or you could all be right and I will suck woefully.  Thats what I love about my teams--I don't do cookie cutter attempts at perfection.  Either I could surprise or be awful.  By the way, Pettit is still a HOF'er and was the Karl Malone of his time.  The season I'm using is a FG+% of 111.  We shall see
