Nice comeback win for the Yanks tonight.  Six solid innings from Pineda.  Andrew Miller makes his pinstripe debut and earns his first save.

ARod wastes a chance to blow the game open, striking out with the bases loaded.in the bottom of the eighth.  Admittedly, it was a questionable low strike call.  Fortunately the Yanks had already taken the lead.

Miller has become VERY good these last couple of years. I can't believe Miami gave up on him so easily after getting him in the Cabrera deal.

Yanks drop game 3 of their series with the Jays.  CC takes the loss, but didn't pitch as badly as his line might suggest.  5.2 IP, 8 H, 5 runs allowed (4 earned).  But all the hits he allowed were singles, and he struck out 8 and didn't walk anybody.  95 pitches, 68 for strikes.

ARod and Tex both hit their first home runs of the season.  But the Yankees offense struggled for the first series, only scoring 8 runs in 3 games, and only hitting .191 for the season so far.

Long night in the Bronx.  Starter Nathan Eovaldi is meh for 5.1, allowing 8 hits and 3 runs.  The bullpen then shuts the Sox down for nine innings, before the 83rd Yankee reliever of the night, Esmil Rogers comes in.  Gives up a homer to Ortiz in the top of the 16th, answered by Teixiera in the bottom of the 16th.  Both teams trade runs in the 18th, until Rogers gives up the game winner in the 19th.

Big hit of the night for the Yankees: Chase Headley's 2-out HR into the second deck in RF to tie the game at 3 and send it into extras.

Overall, Yankees offense is still missing as they're only OPSing at a .647 clip.  The pitching staff seems to be better as they're only allowing a .616 OPS through 4 games with a respectable 1.22 WHIP and 3.33 ERA.

The Yankees are playing .250 ball with ARod in the lineup.  Haven't lost a game yet when he's not.

Seems like an easy call to me.

ARod is the team leader in batting average and RBI's, and is 2nd in homers. Team MVP?
