Leaving After 9 Years Topic

Good luck guys! It was great playing with you. After 9+ years of playing HD, I am quitting. Time is always an issue, but it feels more like work at times, rather than fun. For the 2nd time in a month I have had a #1 seed in the NT only to lose to a #16 seed SIM team in the 1st round of the NT, and that certainly doesn't help. The loss two nights ago was to a 93 RPI team. You invest time and money, limited as the time is, you build a team, and the randomness of the program can just throw all your work away in one night. I know the frustration I am feely is not just about the losses, so it is time to walk away. For the most part, it has been a fun 9 years. Good Luck!

You'd win that game 19 times out of 20 Commish118. Really tough luck. I know sometimes the simulator does not make sense... You shot Under .400... Why?

No idea.

By the way, I also have the username 2bounce, and I am dropping that also. Stuff like this just takes the fun out of the game. I made a lot of great friends though, and I am going to miss them!!! Maybe after I retire in 7 years I will come back. Good luck guys!

More like 99 out of 100.

Commish Join GLIAC DII in PHELAN, we need you there. The season starts, we would welcome you and... it would just be a little team to manage with no expectation. Or you can come to Heartland in Knight, we do need you there too.

If not : See you around.

Hate to see you go commish as I had fun coaching with and against you in iba, but totally understand that if the fun is gone it's time to move on (one reason you never find me on a golf course any longer in this lifetime...). Best wishes to you!!

Sorry to see you go Commish

Why you ran slowdown v. a sim is beyond me.  I probably would have played the same defense (+1)...might have gone with a +2.  Even I think quitting over 1 or 2 games is pretty ridiculous...1 v. 16 here is not the talent gap that it is IRL

He shot under .400 because he ran slowdown

Listen to this guy: he has the rings to prove it.

exactly my though too--would have definitely been uptempo there

Whether you like colonels or not ... How would you not want to play uptempo against a team that your depth beats his depth up and down the roster, Not at a stamina disadvantage, and playing the press. In a game of fouling attrition Belmont abbey would have been in trouble. As it stood even with the slowdown, Belmont had two starters to four fouls.

Is this true...?
Does everyone usually go fast paced vs a Sim, or is this just based on Commish's team?

I wouldn't always do it vs any sim, but in this case it looks like the obvious move. The mor time that Belmont team has to spend in its depth chart, the worse it was going to do.

What I won is if he changed his three settings? Look how much higher a proportion of his shots were threes in that game then in, well, then in any other game in his whole season really.
