I lost Goerge Karl my other UNC favorite as a kid.  I am truly clueless drafting basketball players. I understand baseball.  I am concerned about this league because of pace of the other league.  Will it disband before it starts?  The ABA did play.

how about finding a copy of "Loose Balls" as part of pre-season preparation ? ...

I read the book years ago.  I remember watching the games on CBS as a kid and shoting the red, white and blue ball.  I even saw Washington games.  The ABA was a special
treat on Saturdays with Barry, Haywood and Melchionni.

I was pretty young but I remember watching ABA games on TV, too, and even playing with those patriotic balls on neighborhood courts.

I spent many evenings listening to Kentucky on radio.  Watching the ABA was fun.  The 3pt shot was an added attraction.  I saw some Oakland Oaks footage on youtube.
It was neat.  I have collected video over the years of the ABA.  It is a shame CBS doesn't put out those classics on dvd.  I was told years ago they still have footage.
