I just did a palm slap of the forehead.  Totally missed that he hadn't been protected/drafted way back in the first round when I picked Delgado.  Carlos should be fine, but Big Mac could have inflicted a world of pain in Fenway.

I would of taken McGwire last round if STL wasn't blocked last round (right in front of me) but ended up taking Yaz instead to play 1st.

So question will be who's playing OOP for you tj, McCovey or are you going to use a worse McGwire when he had some bad OF seasons?

I will use 98 McGwire, one will play in the outfield OOP. Not sure who yet, have to look closer.

Several have used McGwire or other okay fielding first basemen at second base.  Not that they fielded well at second base, but well enough easily justify the extra bat in the lineup.

The last time I had the Giants I drafted McGwire in the first and ended up using him at 2B when Kent got popped and he was okay there. I've used much worse defensive 1Bs in the outfield and they're fine. Just can't play them in center, but I drafted Beltran for that...

The real problem is going to be making this all work at the cap, haha
