Definitely a fun build, that's why I keep coming back.  The $90M cap keeps everyone competitive, but hurts when you can't use some of the guys that you can get.  Here's what I've come up with for this season.

1. Bill Simas (1998 White Sox) and Bob Howry (1998 White Sox) - teammate of Simas
2. Rube Marquard (1916 Robins) and Larry Cheney (1916 Robins) - both pitched in Red Sox vs. Robins 10/11/1916)
3. Ed Cushman (1885 Mets) and Cal Broughton (1885 Browns) - both played for the 8-4 1884 Milwaukee Brewers of the Union Association
4. Casper Asbjornson (200k to be replaced by AAA Hal Anderson); Bill Cissell (1932 White Sox) - teammate of Anderson
5. Jeff Reardon (1981 Expos) and John Milner (1981 Expos)
6. Tom Morgan (1961 Angels) and Art Fowler (1961 Angels)
7. Neil Chrisley (1959 Tigers) and Bob Smith (1959 Tigers)
8. Matt Young (1989 A's) and Mark McGwire (1989 A's) - teammate of Young
9. Lou Brock (1970 Cards) and Jim Beauchamp (1970 Cards)
10. Marty Krug (1922 Cubs) and Charlie Hollocher (1922 Cubs) - teammate of Krug
11. Don Wert (1963 Tigers) and Al Kaline (1963 Tigers) - teammate of Wert
12. Bill Dickey (1939 Yankees) and Ted Williams (1939 RED SOX - apologies!)
WC - Dutch Leonard (1914 Red Sox)

Marty Krug and Don Wert were unwanted additions to the roster, but fortunately quite a lot of flexibility in some of the other draws.

I believe that Ted Williams' head just rolled over in it's cryogenic chamber after reading dlchow's line-up post.

Williams is a valid pick since that category was "1939 AL batting leaders" ... but he should maybe change the team designation!

1.  P  Ray Daviault  1962  [and any of his teammates on the 1962 Mets]
2.  P  Ray Starr  1932-45
3.  1990 American League appearances (fielding, so any two players from the AL in 1990)
4.  P  Matt Keough  1977-86

5.  1878 Major League Baseball Pitcher  [since 1878 isn't a sim season, you can choose any career season for anyone who pitched in 1878; there are a few who played past 1885.  Or you can use a AAA pitcher if you want to see how Tommy Bond or Tricky Nichols would fare in our league]
6.  * 2B  George McAvoy  1914
7.  1885 Cincinnati Red Stockings batting, pitching & fielding
8.  2000 National League Attendance and Miscellaneous  [any two players from the NL in 2000, but you need to use a stadium from the 2000 NL also]

1.  P  John Briscoe  1991-96
2.  box score 10/13/1981  Athletics at Yankees  ALCS game 1  [use only players who appeared in that game, in their 1981 season]

7.  * OF  Rusty McNealy  1983
8.  Career Leaders & Records for Stolen Bases Allowed as Catcher  [lists the top 400 all-time, so you get two catchers here in any season of their careers.  FYI, Deacon McGuire allowed 2529 stolen bases in 26 seasons ... he is more than 700 SB ahead of the #2 guy]

9.  * SS  Frank Trechock  1937
