Twelve Random Pages for New Year's (full) Topic

My apologies, had to edit.
Accidentally listed Charlie Hudson as having a 106 year career.

I would like to try this if I may but am sure you assistance will be needed

This sounds like fun,  I'm in and I'll cross my fingers!

bubloo:  Welcome!  I am happy to help when needed.  But let's see what fate has in store for you:

1.  2007 Milwaukee Brewers roster  [any 2 players who played for them]
2.  P  Dilson Torres  1995
3.  * P  Larry Gowell  1972 Yankees  [no sim-eligible season, see my note to thaneoffife on the bottom of page 1 for what to do]
4.  1923 Boston Braves batting orders  [incl. starting pitchers]

5.  OF-1B  Jacob Cruz  1996-2005
6.  OF-1B  Ryan Radmanovich  1998
7.  * P  Jose Roman  1984-86  [no sim-eligible season, but three years of Indians teammates]
8.  P  Al Hollingsworth  1935-46

9.  *UT  Ted Sepkowski  1942-47  [played briefly for some really good teams]
10.  P  Walker Cress  1948-49
11.  1917 American League Shortstop  [any two guys who played one game at SS ... look for one that can play another IF spot]
12.  OF  Jim Mosolf  1929-33

Not a lot of big names there, but this league is always about who your random guys' teammates were.

bigben83:  Here's your spin of the wheel:

1.  P  Chuck McElroy  1989-2001
2.  box score 4/29/2009  Angels at Orioles  [only players actually used in that game ... not the whole rosters]
3.  box score 4/21/2009  Rays at Mariners
4.  OF  Mike Slattery 1884-91

5.  2007 Milwaukee Brewers Batting Orders  [includes anyone who started a game, incl. starting pitchers] -- weird that bublooo also got the same club
6.  1985 Milwaukee Brewers Pitching Statistics  [any two pitchers from the 1985 club, that season only]
7.  P  Eric Stults  2006-14
8.  OF  Max Carey  1910-29  [our first Hall of Famer selected directly]

9.  1915 Federal League standings and Head to Head  [any two players from the 1915 FL]
10.  1967 National League Win Probability  [for pitchers, in this case ... any two NL pitchers from 1967]
11.  Walter O'Malley recognition page [!]  ... no players here, so I guess we go with any two Dodger players between 1945 and 1979 while he owned the team, and you need to use one of their stadiums
12.  P  Seth Greisinger  1998-2005

I hope your family is not from Brooklyn; but if they are, you can get your revenge and can move the Dodgers back home!

So for Charlie Grover, I pick some 200k dude and a pitcher who played for the 1913 Tigers?
You pick any 200k dude, who will be  replaced on your roster with a random AAA pitcher, re-named for Charlie Grover.
For the second player, you pick any teammate of Charlie Grover's ... so, anyone on the 1913 Tigers.
Ho boy, with access to Ty and Babe and 1907 Addie Joss thanks to Pete O'Brien, I think you'll have to move the salary cap to $120!
I've got some of the same issues.  It sucks to have a mid-range salary cap when fate hands you the 1922 Rogers Hornsby.

houseofbayne:  You're the last team for this evening.  Here are your 12 random pages:

1.  P  Scott Olsen  2005-10
2.  1979 Kansas City Royals fielding (includes pitchers)
3.  * P  Dizzy Sutherland  1949
4.  * CF  Hank (Socks) Perry  1912

5.  1B-OF  Joe Altobelli  1955-61
6.  OF  Russ Snyder  1959-70
7.  1995 Baltimore Orioles batting, pitching & fielding
8.  1906 Cleveland Naps batting, pitching & fielding  [can't find the emoticon for envy]

9.  C  Rob Bowen  2003-08
10.  73 players who died in District of Columbia  [double envy]
11.  SS  Cobe Jones  1928-29
12.  1935 American League Second Base [any two players who played an inning at 2B]

Personally, I think it's unfair to have Addie Joss, Walter Johnson and Dizzy Sutherland all on the same club, but this league is not fair.  And you do have a salary cap!
