theirs=cops, maybe even non-black cops. so a black man says 'They take one of 'our african americans', lets take 2 of theirs (meaning cops)' then shoots 2 non-black cops sitting in a car. hmm. i'm not a rocket scientist but the simple fact alone that you and I think he meant 'african american' by 'ours' demonstrates that this was a RACIALLY driven crime. its still racism if a person gets killed for being a cop AND for their skin color.
What about when he shot his girlfriend, was that racism?

We're just speculating about what an dead, insane person would do, so who knows.  My guess would be, if he looked in the cop car and saw 2 black cops, he keeps walking and finds other cops.  Yes, my guess is that it was racially motivated.

I don't love moy's speaking in absolutes, that it's CLEAR that this was racially motivated, there's NO EVIDENCE of race playing ANY part of the Brown and Garner deaths. Blame the media! Calm down there, buddy.

you can't just ignore that he says 'take 1 of ours' which we both agree meant african americans. by definition he is referring to RACE in his statement. yes he shot two cops - 'theirs' - who happened to be non-blacks. I agree, had he not made a statement regarding race, I'd chalk this guy up to 'just crazy' - but now take the statement in its full context - and stop IGNORING that he says take 1 of ours (african americans) to preface the statement - and I chalk this guy up to 'racist and crazy'

That's reasonable.   We can't get in the head of a dead crazy man but we can look at the clues he left behind.   It's fairly clear that he was out to kill non-black cops.

moy does that sometimes.   Like almost all the time.   I have no idea if race played a part in Brown/Garner.   I know they were large men breaking the law.  I'd hope, if they were small Asian women, that the situations would have been handled differently.

That's easily arguable, and I agree with that opinion...it can also be argued that he was going to kill the first 2 cops he saw to as a message to the NYPD. That he was angry at cops in general. He did kill his black girlfriend. He was a crazy person.

That's the point, right?

If a cop pulls over a little Asian woman and treats her differently than he treats the black guy that he pulls over, that's a problem. And it's racist.

It's what leads to John Crawford being shot and killed by the police when he was doing absolutely nothing wrong. It's what leads police to drive up three feet from a 12 year old and shoot him before knowing what's going on. It's what leads Levar Jones to getting shot for following the trooper's orders too quickly.

John Crawford and Levar Jones didn't do that either. They were still shot and Crawford was killed.

Level of threat.

Large man = threat
Small woman = I would hope not

If a small Asian woman started brawling with a cop, I'd hope he wouldn't have to resort to deadly force to neutralize her.

Black women are as strong as a man. They are unruling beasts that look like enraged apes, HOWEVER, this was uncalled for. Most cops are victims of bulling and now they wanna show their "power"
