Carr doing a great job making sure he's the QB next season. Raiders bumped to 3rd in the draft order with QB starved teams ahead of them. Assuming it's Mariota/Winston 1/2, Raiders may end up with Amari Cooper.

Carr hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire but he's proving he can be a capable NFL QB.    He's played better than Bortles and has been on par with Bridgewater.    Manziel is obviously an "incomplete" but he's not shown much in his limited time.

Raiders may have gotten the best QB in the 2014 draft.

Next to last in sacks. A pass-rusher probably makes sense. I know there are some decent d-linemen in the draft.

If you think Cooper is the next Calvin Johnson, you take him.    I think the DL are Williams from USC and some guy from Nebraska.    They don't have the credentials to bypass a Cooper, I don't think.

Kiper's list:

Kiper's Top Ten
1. Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
2. Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
4. Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska
5. Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M
6. Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa
7. Shane Ray, DE, Missouri
8. Shawn Oakman, DE, Baylor
9. Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
10. Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State

If Raiders pick with Winston on the board, trade down to the team that wants him.

If they're going to take a DL, they should trade down.     Williams is the only one I could remember.    Although Ray seems pretty good.    Maybe it's just Michael Sam but I kinda get the feeling they scheme to make their DE good in Mizzou.

Agreed on the Amari Cooper take. Everything about him says *star*. You don't pass on that.

Carr actually has been doing better than I thought. Low interceptions and sacks, but the yards/attempt are last in the NFL by a large margin. I haven't watched the Raiders, but I assume part of that is because of a complete lack of talent for him to throw to.

I still like Bridgewater much more than the rest.

He checks down a lot.   And quickly.    Of course, that could be because no one can get open deeper.    But, if you're going to have a low yards per attemt, you gotta complete more passes.

I haven't seen a single play with Bridgewater but I saw a lot of him in college.    I assume he's still small.

From ESPN.com

6. Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has put to rest questions about his willingness to hang tough in the pocket.

When Carr lit it up at the Gruden QB Camp before the draft, I relayed to an evaluator what I'd seen on the practice field down in Orlando, Florida. He replied with a snide remark predicting Carr would wilt in the face of pressure because he hadn't shown a willingness to stand tough in the pocket at Fresno State. There were signs in late September that Carr was not going to follow the painful path his brother David took, even though he had taken some hard hits. The Buffalo Billsbeat up Carr on Sunday and sent him to the sideline limping, but it never looked like Carr flinched.

It's looking like the offensive coach I spoke with earlier in the season was right when he said this about Carr at the time: "This Carr might be put together better mentally [than his brother was]. I'm fired up. My thoughts were that when things get hot in the pocket, he may screw it up, but that has not happened. For a young guy, he is doing good. You cannot name a wide receiver for that team."

If this doesn't scream Raider Dumbassery I don't know what further proof you need.

The 2009 draft could've also fetched them Michael Crabtree, Brian Cushing, Clay Mathews Jr, Jeremy Maclin, Percy Harvin, Brian Orakpo, or BJ Raji

In 2003 the Raiders had two picks to close out Round 1.  They took CB Nnamdi Asomugha from California which was a pretty good pick, however they took DE Tyler Brayton from Colorado with the 32nd pick to close out the first round.

With that second 1st round pick they could've had: Anquan Boldin, Jason Witten, Lance Briggs, Osi Umenyiora, Asante Samuel, Robert Mathis, Cory Redding, or Ike Taylor.

Actually they missed badley in the 2008 draft even though McFadden has shown glimpses of being a solid NFL RB, Glenn Dorsey has been a big time bust too.

They could've had Jamaal Charles, Matt Forte, or even Ray Rice if they were desperate for a RB not to mention Ryan Clady, DeSean Jackson, Aqib Talib, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Jordy Nelson, Eddie Royal, Curtis Lofton, Tracy Porter, and Calais Campbell.

I know that every team misses on draft picks but the Raiders could have an All-Pro team on both sides of the ball by now!

I think the last sentence is key.    EVERY team misses.
