I'll take Axel Lindstrom:  October 3, 1916, Athletics at Red Sox.  In his only MLB game, Axel closed things out with a 4 inning save to preserve the win for the hapless A's (35-117 that season) against the eventual WS champion Red Sox.

Axel was the 4th, and to date last, MLB player born in Sweden.

Hi Finn,

I'm confused. Do we only take the players from those who played that day? Do we only take the players that were eligible that day? Do we take any player that was part of that franchise's season? Could you give an example of what can or can't be used?

Sure... we're using baseballreference.com for the 2 team's rosters.  So, in my case, I can twist ANY player who appears on either the 1918 Braves or 1918 Giants even though they may not have played in the game that day.  The only exception is ONE non-roster 200K guy can be drafted if needed... this guy will be sent to AAA.

OK. So anybody that season for those teams is allowed.

In that case, I'll take Tim Christman. 2001 Rockies / Diamondbacks. Giving up a HR to Reggie Sanders along with 6 outs ain't bad. I wonder why they didn't give him a second chance? ...I suppose I should be glad for that...

First time doing this league - great concept.

I'll take Mike Hickey, who played Second Base for the Boston Beaneaters at home against the St. Louis Perfectos on September 14, 1899.  He made one error and I hope I'm not about to do the same!
