Good grief. I move up to the 2nd slot in hopes of grabbing 1908 and it gets taken. Oh well, nice selection bardin.

Well this is interesting. I was planning on a team first and years second but seeing as how picking years first seems to be the trend of the more experienced owners, I may very well be using the wrong strategy. But, I guess we'll live and learn.

I think you will see both strategies. The early picks that choose years always run the risk that their franchise won't be there and end up with a busted year. The flip side is 96 of the 114 years will be taken and in wis world all years are not created equally. If I was able to trade up to 2 I know what I would have taken sitting at 23 I'm not sure.

Taking my favorite team the Giants and instantly wanna beat rickysdad...lol just kidding but I went back and forth on year vs team before settling on wanting a team that I know has many many years to choose from. Wasn't so sure my top team choices would be available at 10

This draft continues to surprise me.

Me too. Not at all what I expected to see.

We had a theme like this is a previous WIS Championship round 2.  The cap was lower, and it was a five round draft instead of six (we drafted two franchises and three seasons, so 3 x 2 = 6 teams).  The other major differences is that franchises were allowed to be taken four times instead of three.  I think this version of the theme is a lot tougher since the popular franchises and the best seasons will start to become scarce more quickly. 

So if you grab two franchises early, you might not get the seasons you anticipated.  If you go with a season early, the franchise you had in mind might be unavailable.  Flexibility is the key.  You'll need to anticipate the worst, then adjust.
