Double Crikey!
I should've taken 1935 last round. Ironically the reason I didn't is because I thought it would still be available now.

I have my roster completely built.  WaitNSee's selection of 2007 really hurt, but 2008 filled most of the void.  In fact, 23 of 25 of my roster spots are represented by my three already-drafted seasons (1906, 1923, 2008).  Of the two players left, one is a cheap scrub.  If my fourth season selection gets taken before I pick again, I have an obvious backup season ready to go for the one key position I need to fill.  The league number will be ready as soon as I make my last pick.

I had finished my roster until 2008 was taken tight before mine.  I had waited 35 picks only to have 2008 snatched the pick right before mine.  1989 was a solid secondary pick but I now literally have 4 different seasons that can work depending on what others choose.  What is frustrating I had worked out my team while sitting outside waiting for trick and treaters.  With 4 options out there I will be waiting until it is actually making my pick before working out my final scenerio. May take a little time. Should have known better.

Ouch, one pick before you... that had to hurt.

In retrospect, after seeing how things ultimately went, I would've been better off going with my original plan, which was to take 2014 with my third pick, then 1923 with pick 4, gambling that the Orioles/Browns would make it to me in round 5.  The 2014 Cubs and Orioles had a plethora of good to great RPs, plus Arrieta.  But in working that strategy out, I was worried that I'd not have enough offense if 1923 got drafted before my fourth pick, and I'm not sure I would've had the guts to wait until  round 5 for the Browns/Orioles.  (Guys like E.Banks or C.Ripken just don't perform well in the sim with deadball pitchers).

As it stands now, I have a really good high-avg/obp offense with lots of doubles & triples, great starting pitching but a real sucky bullpen.

The worst part was I showed a little emotion when 2008 disappeared.  My wife got mad at me because she thought I was upset because I had been sitting outside most of the night giving out candy for the little kids.  She thought I was being a cranky old fuddy duddy.  She just doesn't understand the investment we WIS players put into our strategy.  Or maybe she does understand that I am crazy about this game...

By the way this  theme is by far one of the most enjoyable themes I have played in WIS.  I hope you can do it again after this 2nd round championship.
