Was present @ the exact time of the 2013 player release (update),
along w/ "GotWorms" & a few others... All of a sudden, another '1'
of the usernames there began posting the new players, as though
it were a "Wikileaks" secret freshly unveiled... That, was the VERY
1st comment from "GotWorms", posting his humorous question...
None-fhe-less, in answer to your thread here, something odd had
happen'd over the next few minutes, in that Forum... VERY kwikly,
observant usernames here were also posting that ALL CATCHERS
(both AL & NL) had defensive ratings of D-... @ the same time, it's
"tzentmeyer" from Wi$ posting thanx 2 all 4 point'n it out, that he'd
get right on the matter, & fix things...
What is interesting here, is that my copy/paste tools captured '14'
of those catchers, within those 1st fast minutes... The salaries it
caught had also changed w/ the defensive upgrades applied by a
VERY kwik "tzentmeyer"... Predictably, & expectedly it happen'd...
Point is, if any player performs better than the associated salary,
yes, his salary will ascend over time, all in accord w/ adjusting &
normalizing... Well known...
Have also witness'd this happen'n w/ all sports dept.'s here, that
include the NFL, NBA, NHL, etc... The immediacy by which it had
happen'd on the day of the 2013 update, was stunning, as well as
tell-tale of the actual salary increases, @ varying 'levels' of those
kwik defensive upgrades such as C, B, & A...
Overall, U gotta' have a pretty good eye 2 catch all the 'long-term'
stuff, but w/ each release of new names & numbers, that 'overall'
average mean number in every category fluctuates... The player
that U discovered?, obviously performs better than ANY recently
released 1, @ a similar, like-wise salary range... Good find by U !
