Wanted to float this idea to gauge interest for a new draft league.

--League would draft in the well known format of the ODL and DH52 draft leagues:
ABABAB  (pick 2 in rd 6)

--Owners draft specific seasons of players, and they will own that player's season exclusively (i.e. I draft "08-09 Lebron James")

--Multiple seasons for any player's career can be drafted; only the specific season drafted is exclusive

--Slots 8-12 can be filled with any season of any player not taken. 

--Cap = $50M

That's pretty much all there is to it.

Debated setting a cap to number of instances for any one player (i.e. 4, so that only 4 Lebron's could be drafted, but figured why not see how many of his seasons get taken?)

Also debated saying No Clones within a team (i.e. you can't draft 2 Rodmans), but figured, why not, could be fun to see if people can swing a double-up of a player.

It's obviously just the ODL concept but the use of a season specific draft will be interesting and unique.

How many Lebrons, MJ's, Howard's, Shaq's go in round 1 and in what order?  We all know the general rank of players for an ODL or DH draft, but being forced to draft a specific season is a totally different set of rankings.

Teams should be talented with the added player pool.  $50M lets you get some freedom but not quite to the extend of DH52.

I will commish the league if there is interest., and run the draft/off-season in the mold of DH.

i really like this idea is there any way maybe adding a random element for more interest.  like every owner nominate two players that can only have one season and those players are randomly giving out

Haven't tried out a draft league yet but I'll give it a try.

 I think that it would be fun to see more seasons of each player used than what we get in the ODL and in the $52 million league.
