ELIMINATION CHALLENGE

On Thursday there are the following games: 7 NHL, 1 NFL, 3 CFB, and 1 MLB Playoff. Each team must guess the score for each team in these games. That is a total of 24 teams and 24 scores that must be turned in. The player that guesses closest to the final score for that team, without going over, will win that team. Each team is worth 2 points. If that team wins their game, then they are worth an additional 1 point. If both players guess the same score and win, then the team will count for each player. If both players guess higher than what the team scores then nobody gets that team. The winner of the challenge will be the player with the most points after all games are played. The games played for this challenge are as follows:

NHL:
New Jersey vs Washington
San Jose vs NY Islanders
Carolina vs NY Rangers
Dallas vs Pittsburgh
Boston vs Montreal
Colorado vs Ottawa
St. Louis vs Los Angeles

NFL:
New York Jets vs New England

CFB:
West Virginia St vs Charleston Univ
Virginia Tech vs Pittsburgh
Utah vs Oregon

MLB:
St Louis vs San Fransico

Tie Breaker #1- Winner of the Jets/Patriots
Tie Breaker #2- Number of passing yards for Patriots
Tie Breaker #3- Number of goals scored in all NHL games
Tie Breaker #4- Order received

Interesting that our of 24 scores, only 8 were the same.  Looks like gmc_sierra went on the lower side with hockey and alot of shutouts.

Should be interesting.

As for everyone else, be prepared for the next challenge to be posted this evening.

Challenge:

You will be split into 3 teams of 2 players for this challenge.

Each team will submit 2 lineups of NFL players consisting of the following:

2 QBs
4 RBs
5 WRs
2 TEs

Players can earn the following points:

Each TD scored is worth 10 points
If a player gets 100 yards rushing and receiving combined they get 10 points
If a player gets 150 yards rushing and receiving combined they get 20 points
If a player gets 200 yards rushing and receiving combined they get 30 points
If a player passes for 300 yards they get 10 points
If a player passes for 400 yards they get 20 points
If a player passes for 500 yards they get 30 points

The catch is that each lineup must contain only players who went to college in the same conference (we are going by conferences as they are today, not when the players played there).

There are a couple of other things:

If you use a conference that no one else uses, you get your QBs multiplied by 3.
If you use a WR or RB that no one else uses, their points get multiped by 2.

-Top team is safe
-Worst kill pick amongst other 2 teams is in elimination
-Other 3 players are up for vote by winning team, UNLESS one of them has the best kill pick.  The top kill pick will have immunity from being voted in.

Kill Pick Challenge:

1)Each player must submit to a list of 8 NFL defenders, most tackles is what we are looking for
2) Tiebreaker, give me a list of 5 NFL teams, most total yards of offense

Team picks and kill picks are due by noon on Sunday.

I'll post teams once tonights challenge is done.

What about people who went to multiple colleges (like Russell Wilson)?  Does the Monday night game count, or the Sunday night game, or just Sunday afternoon games?  Do players from the SEC really count as having "gone to college"?
10/16/2014 9:44 PM
I left it vague for a reason on question 1.  Only Sunday games.
