Anyone ever seen the 49ers approach to the snap in this game? The right guard looks back to see when Kaepernick is ready, then taps the center when it's time for him to snap the ball. I'm guessing they want the center keeping his focus straight ahead, but I've never seen another lineman be responsible for calling the snap.

Its very common on shotgun snaps, from multiple teams in the NFL and college.

Its very common on shotgun snaps, from multiple teams in the NFL and college.
Maybe I've just never noticed it. I often see the center look through his legs, and the QB raises his leg when he wants the snap. I've never seen the RG turned around watching, and then tapping the center to get the snap off.
