To all those who think B-/B in D1 is the line where all recruits are available to you to recruit, think again. This is a 4 star international that rejected all my efforts. I guess the rejected FR start in cycle 1 on day 1 of recruiting was an obvious sign, which I missed.

A letter gave me this, which I suppose is the need to pulldown message:

"Hi Coach. I appreciate the time, but I keep hearing that some big schools are looking at me. I'd rather wait and see what they have to offer. Keep in touch though."

The first set of 10s were efforts put in at the 11am cycle. I missed the 2pm cycle and then tried again at the 5pm cycle.

I just recruited a 4-star SG.  I am a B prestige.  I actually beat out an A+ school as well.  The player was also under 100 miles from me.  Could the fact that your example is an international have anything to do with it?

There are different levels of B prestige, and different levels of 4-stars. Also, if he was 70 miles or less, that would've had an impact.

Tianyi, you could pull him down if you were so inclined ...

I suppose, but pulldown internationals at $700 a pop per SV was a little pricey. Just a little nuts that I grabbed the #3 sf last season (he wasn't within 70 miles) with the same team and the team went to PI 2nd round, which I guess dropped me lower in prestige.

From my experience it's easier to pull down internationals, and if the player is good enough it's certainly worth it. I'm also a B prestige in Phelan and I was backup for a 5* guard that I probably could have gotten but just didn't know how much I'd have to spend to pull him down considering last season I did 120 evals to pull down a 5* SF.

It's been so long since I've had a B+ prestige that I really don't remember if I've ever been a backup for a recruit.
