We need to address the issue on metal illness as a problem to fix and not worry about the civil rights of the crazy people.

Thank you swamp for proving my point about 30s German style fascism.

I am tired of millions of honest law abiding citizens being made to suffer so the criminals and mentally ill people can have free run.

I said thank you didn't I ?

Just trying to show that I am for the little guy and you are fighting for bigger government by making jokes about everyone with a political opinion that differs from your own.

Great....all in favor of locking Swamp up and taking away his guns?

Aye!

Funny how flexible the Constitution can be when Swamp wants it to be, but how strictly we must adhere to it when someone wants to limit someone's access to weapons.

I don't believe that Swampy owns any guns.

Well here it is.

We want to be able to deal with the mentally ill and not let them shoot up a school and the left gets all teary eyed about thier rights.

And what specific Constitutional right are you addressing?

Hammers are used more for murder than rifles.  See FBI murder stats.

BANHAMMER(S)!

So lets ask the defining question again for the umpteenth time.

Is there any evidence to support a ban on assualt guns would help reduce crime in America. Or shootings in America. Or anything in America.

I am a little curious because the media has jumped over that question. They are framing the question as one of gun freedom vs preventing children from being murdered.

And since we have a lot of left wingers here who think the same thing I was wondering if they were all just making it up or if I missed something!
