The interesting part is that you cant seem to find out who makes a great candidate until they run.

No one ever though Reagan could win, let alone win by an epic landslide.

Clinton kind of wavered below the radar until he actually ran.

And on the other side everyone thought  Gore was a natural candiadate.

And a lot of people believed McCain was a "Maverick".

Sort of like College QBs. You can get a feel for who they are and what they can do but until they suit up you dont know if you have an Andrew Luck or a Ryan Leaf.

A lot of people tried to make McCain into something he wasn't. He was a doddering old fool the Republican party nominated to give him his "due" because they knew whoever they nominated was destined to lose that election anyway, so why not give the old guy his "due" and send him packing and not sacrifice another candidate who could be better later.

He wasn't "maverick" or anything else but a fool. It'd be nice to see a Republican candidate who actually has conservative values and has a chance, but I doubt it will happen.

It isnt really true though.

It worked out that way, but the party machine was never behind him. There was never any effort to support McCain.

Even the media didnt talk this guy up until later.

The Republican party didnt want McCain or Romney.

They did want Bush and Dole.

Thanks for tuning into another episode of "Swamp's Revisionist Political History".

Be sure to come back next time when Swamp reveals his "Watergate was a left-wing frame job" theory.

Wonder what Watergate would have been if Obama had dont it. Would Woodward and Bernstein go after the media darling?

Obama covered up Benghazi?

We heard that something happened.

The news of a break in at the Watergate hotel was pretty quick.

What did Obama know and why did he not reveal it?

So the Congress was making progress towards immigration reform and Obama introduced his bill which has no chance of getting through.

Looks like the Dems know if IR passes it will kill their chances for winning elections.

The only immigration reform congress should be passing is legislation saying to kick out all the illegals, not efforts to try to make them citizens.

That includes kids who were brought to America illegally and raised in America illegally. Too bad if they don't know anything else - if their parents or whoever didn't break the law in the first place, maybe they'd have known their own homeland.

The way things are, all congress is doing is encouraging more people to come running to America with their kids in the hopes the kids will someday become citizens as a result. There are already enough people sucking on the system. America doesn't need more of them.

That's stupid.
