so where does this leave us?  down 1?
11/12/2012 3:28 PM
I'd like to make a suggestion and may follow it up with a sitemail... we currently have several progressive leagues struggling along.  Why don't we try and combine owners from a few of the progressive leagues so we have one strong league that will run for several seasons.  At a minimum - we could combine the UPL and the Progressive Cap League.  Put it to a vote and let the strong one survive.  At least until the revamp the sim and build new interest or hell freezes over.

Thoughts?

I think the only positive solution is to start from scratch with more of a joint effort. No set commissioner, be it a rotation of authority. Each season a new commissioner takes over, someone willing to give the two weeks before a new season begins. This takes the onus off of guys like Glen and Josh where they don't need to be as attentive thus helping leagues thrive in instances of busy lives.

Only owners with a solid pedigree will be allowed to start, where after additions are put to vouching from at least a few owners. If the sim is going to die, we can at least maintain a 24 owner league with people committed to perseverance of the game. No free rides, no one and done. Owners who bail without a justified reason are blacklisted till a vote of new admission if trying to rejoin.

Combine elements of the two.

I loved the idea of a hard salary cap for starters.

Yea, I think at some point we need to realize that these leagues have died and move on....either of these ideas are great but we cant keep waiting for something that isnt going to happen!!
