that is my only saving grace, he was my QB on my 1-9 team not my 8-2 or 7-3 team.

Do you think he'll succeed?

I found it interesting that scouting profiles on him were basically "DAVID CARR'S BROTHER *WARNING* *WARNING*". It likely pushed him down, or even off, some draft boards. I saw an article in which it talked about David working with him closely and it seemed David wanted to live vicariously through Derek.

He can make the throws and seems to read defenses well enough.   The biggest question is how he'll adapt to the level of competition.  It's not like he faced top teams in college.   And virtually every player he'll see was top 1-2 defensive players on their college teams.

And, of course, the Raiders will have to keep him upright.
