The WhatIfSports.com college football simulation engine set the bar pretty high in 2010. It finished with a 584-190 record (75.5 percent) straight up in all simulation predictions involving D-I/FBS programs.
College football’s 2011 season adds a degree of difficulty as the simulation engine not only has to adjust to new players, new coaches and new playbooks, but it must also prepare to adapt to a new-age where the PAC-10 is now the PAC-12 and Nebraska joins the Legends and Leaders in the Big Ten.
To prepare you for the upcoming 2011 college football season, we will unveil our season-long simulation forecast for all 120 FBS schools.
Using the same college football simulation engine, we "played" the entire 15-week FBS schedule. We will release our college football predictions for the six BCS conferences along with game-by-by schedules and predicted results beginning on August 24th. To top it off, our friends from Scout.com and FOXSports.com will provide their analysis and team reports heading into the new season. Finally, on Thursday, September 1st, we will release every FBS conference’s final standings and records.
The schedules of the 2011 College Football Previews and Predictions are as follows:
- Wednesday, August 24 - ACC
- Thursday, August 25 - Big 12
- Friday, August 26 - Big East
- Monday, August 29 - Big Ten
- Tuesday, August 30 - Pac-12
- Wednesday, August 31 - SEC
- Thursday, September 1- Final Conference Standings
