Oh tlowster knows that about as well as anyone, but from history I just disagree on shoulder aneurysms and regaining ratings.

Don’t think I’d be having an injury type debate, but agree with tlowster. shoulder aneurysm was the GOAT injury type for pitchers for me. Only one that I had significant net increase in ratings.

Young guy, was out for 90 days and placed on 60 day DL, lost 5 points in the OVR from the time he was injured, with a 98 makeup. Was the biggest drop I've ever had for tendinitis.

Disagree, tlowster. Outside of having 20 in medical, I've never seen a single player with a shoulder aneurysm ever gain back more than half of the ratings they lost.

Yeah I think there is a “true cap” to all skill ratings and they will drop to max after first event of season that shows skill rating changes. The “injury bug” will show higher numbers this the 101 c...

That's a correction due to injury. Sometimes, the shoulder aneurism injury allows a pitcher to come back better from injury because it is usually a 360 day injury so its nearly guaranteed to be y...

However, once he's back from injury, and he gets his first non injury recovery cycle, he corrects back to his true ceilings.
